New Demo CD

Recently we released Demo CDs with new publications for Marching Bands (Drumfanfare), Marching Percussion Ensembles (Malletband/Drumband) and Concert Percussion Ensembles. If you are a band director, conductor or instructor you can order these demo CDs free of charge to fill up this form.

Dutch Championships for Percussion Ensembles

On Saturday the 11th of February Show & Marching Music will be present with a stand during the national championships for concert percussion ensembles in Winterswijk (NL). During the day you are more than welcome to view our new publications for 2012 and to pick up one of our (free for instructors/conductors) demo CDs.

Viva La Vida For Marimba

Now available at Show & Marching Music the arrangement of Maikel2Play (a.k.a. Maikel van de Boomen) for solo marimba from Coldplay's Viva La Vida. The Dutch percussionist Maikel van den Boomen is well known from his percussion movie clips on YouTube, in which he plays all the instruments by himself. The video of Viva La Vida has more than 180.000 views already. This special arrangement is only available as a download.

New: Recital Pieces For Mallets

We recently published a new book entitled: Recital Pieces For Mallets. The book is written by the Dutch percussionist Marco Onstenk and contains a lot of useful classical pieces for the beginning mallet player. In terms of building rhythms the book is very similar to our Snare Drum Basics method book and the structure of keys is very logical. A must for anyone who’s serious with melodic percussion!

Workshops met Green Beats en het CMH Percussion Ensemble

Op zaterdag 10 maart is het mogelijk om eens in de keuken te kijken van het Green Beats Percussion Ensemble of het CMH Percussion Ensemble. Op deze dag kunnen bij beide muzikaal leiders, Timm Pieper en Dirkjan van Groningen, workshops gevolgd worden. Deze workshops worden georganiseerd in samenwerking met het Muzisch Centrum Emmeloord, waar ´s avond ook een concert plaatsvindt met beide ensembles.

Jubileumconcert CMH Percussion Ensemble

cmh_jubileum_concert_klein Op 9 en 10 maart organiseert het CMH Percussion Ensemble een aantal concerten in het kader van haar 12,5 jarig jubilieum. Tijdens deze concerten zal het Green Beats Percussion Ensemble uit Duitsland een gastoptreden verzorgen.

Het eerste concert vindt plaats op 9 maart in MFC De Marke, Daendelsweg 2 te Hattem en beging om 20:30. Het tweede concert vindt plaats op 10 maart in het Muzisch Centrum, Harmen Visserplein 2 te Emmeloord en begint om 20:00. Iedereen is van harte welkom!

Concert Percussion "Live On Stage" Winterswijk

concert_percussion_live_on_stage_website To promote the new 2012 concert percussion publications and the new concert percussion instruments, Show & Marching Music and Majestic decided to join hands.

From the beginning of this year we are going to organize an (inter) national concert/workshop tour, in cooperation with different well know Dutch percussionists/composers, to introduce the new Show & Marching Music concert percussion publications and the new Majestic concert percussion instruments "Live On Stage”.
