Mosson Band scores with “Show & Marching Music” |
 During the Italian Marching Parade Competition, which was held on the 12th Juni in Monza (IT), the Mosson Marching Band scored 86,32 points and achieved a 2nd place with a “Custom Composition” from our arrangers Mark Bogert & Dirkjan van Groningen. The assignment for the composition “On The Road” was a result of our workshops in Italy in October 2009 and February 2010. The musical staff of the Mosson Marching Band was very satisfied with this composition and let us know they want make use of our services more often in the future. S&MM Present During Rasteder Musiktage |
 On Saturday the 3rd of July and Sunday the 4th of July the annual “Rasteder Music Days” are being organized in Rastede (Germany). Just like other years Show & Marching Music will be present with a stand together with our German Partner Pipa & Szesny. You can find our stand in the special “Musik Messe Tent”. Here you can also find stands from among others Yamaha, Music & Marching Centre and Majestic. The tent is open on Saturday from 12:00. More about the Rasteder Musiktage you will find here. |

Workshop at Showband Rastede |

 This year’s program of Showband Rastede is completely arranged by the arrangers of Show & Marching Music. Last season we made a start with this James Bond theme show and this year we improved the program substantially by adapting some pieces and replacing the closer.

Encouraging price won by SWJK Marum/Opende |
 Last Saturday during the Open Dutch Showcorps Championships the, by Show & Marching Music sponsored, “Encouraging” price has been won by the cooperating young bands of show band Marum and cycling band Opende. This band also became champion in the youth class with a score of 81,73 points. We would like to congratulate the band with the achieved results! The “Encouraging” price consists of a gift voucher of € 100,00 can be exchanged for new sheet music at Show & Marching Music. With the organization of the ODSC we agreed that Show & Marching Music is also going to sponsor the “Encouraging” price next year. The results of the Championships you will find here.  Zoals in een eerder bericht reeds gemeld is Scott Brown binnenkort weer in Nederland. Op dinsdag avond 22 juni biedt Majestic Holland B.V. de slagwerkinstructeurs van Nederlandse showbands ( ook instructeurs uit andere omliggende landen zijn welkom) een fantastische “Midsummer Night” aan om samen met Scott Brown te praten over les geven en het educatief en effectief programmeren van je slagwerksectie. Scott heeft een fantastisch leerzaam boek geschreven speciaal voor kader en instructie. Dit bij ons verkrijgbare boek “Field Level” word gebruikt als leidraad voor deze lezing.

Scott has a lot of experience working with concert percussion ensembles as well as with marching percussion groups. He did not plan any activities on the 18th, 21st, 22nd and the 27th of June.
