Fabrice Vernay studied classical percusion at the Music Conservatory in Lausanne ( Prof. Stéphane Borel ) where he received a teacher diploma, an orchestral diploma and a concert diploma with the congratulations of the jury. He also studies jazz vibraphone with Philippe Cornaz and drum set with the pop drummer Patrick Dufresne. From 2000 to 2006 he played at many tatoos all europe with the Swiss Army Marching Band. Since 2005, he plays percussion and timpani in the Lausanne Sinfonietta and as a replacement in many symphony orchestras in Switzerland. He also plays drumset and percussion in many musicals, operas and choirs. He plays marimba with the Lausanne Marimba Ensemble, with Keiko Abe,in chamber music trio , or in contemporary music orchestra. In 2006 he created PERCUTEN, a 10 young percussionnists ensemble. He also composes and arranges for percussion instruments and teaches percussion in school of music in Martigny (Zwitserland).
