Mallet 1 or 2 can be performed on a single marimba with Mallet 3.
Dénia is written for percussion ensemble in the style of a Spanish Flamenco. Flexible mallet voicing allows for a variety of melodic timbres; accompanies by a Flamenco rhythm section that includes traditional Palmas-style hand-clapping.
